Big shout out to Coach Nick!

Our son started training with him in middle school.  Nick's dedication to his students is incredible!  He knows when to push them and when to listen to them and when to reprimand them.  He truly makes them one of his family. Nick is more than a coach; he is a mentor, a confidant, a motivator, and an educator.  Because of Nick's training, our son has always been at the top of any competition he's entered.  Now, 6 years later, he is an All-American college kicker.  We can honestly say that he would not be where he is today without Nick.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Nick!

first met Coach Nick in San Antonio at an NCS camp that my dad found online because we were looking for camps that had good exposure along with good technical instruction. This was in 2011 during the summer time. After competing in the camp and getting to know Coach Nick I found out that he was actually available to coach every other weekend in San Antonio which was huge for me being from Boerne just 30 minutes away. From that May until the 2011 football season I progressed my kickoffs from hitting the goal line to hitting touchbacks with the occasional through the uprights kickoff. My field goals went from barely making 45 yarders to hitting 50+ with just a handful of sessions that summer as a sophomore. It did not take long for me to realize he was what I was missing to compete at the big special teams camps such as University of Texas, Texas State, and Texas Tech. That summer in 2011 I was finally getting the attention from these schools I have been looking for just through good technical work and kicking alongside other kickers that I competed with at every camp. 4th and 10 kicking has propelled me from an average high school kicker to winning all-district my sophomore year, all state honorable mention my junior year, and finally winning a spot in the best high school All American game in the country for high school football players. I was 1 of 90 total athletes in the country to play in that game along with 1 of 4 specialists for the 2014 class. In the 2014 season as a Red Raider while I was redshirted I ended up not getting the spot to start in the 2015 season and was ready to pack up and take my talents elsewhere. In the third week of the 2015 season when I had officially lost my spot as a starter Nick and my family held several late night phone calls discussing my future and through patience and not giving up and what I have learned I got my spot back the following week and finished my 2015 season 14/16 and honorable mention for all Big 12 kicker which led to a Lou Groza watch list in 2016. Following that in 2016 I finished 13/14 along with Big 12 second team ESPN selection in the 2016 season. I still have lots of technique to clean up in my field goals along with my kickoffs to hopefully win the Groza and get a NFL opportunity. I give all the credit of my success to Coach Nick Gatto and my father. They have been the only two people who have stuck by my side through the ups and downs of my career.

"Our son has been working with Nick for 4 years now and has developed tremendously as a player, but more importantly as a young man.  Nick not only teaches elements to be successful as an athlete, but focuses on building the complete player, addressing their physical, mental, social aspects throughout his training.  In working with Nick, our son has improved technically and physically and has adopted a work ethic that has carried over in all aspects of his life.  Nick doesn't just treat players like "just another player", but works to treat players as if they were his own, taking a genuine interest in them, their activities and daily life, and focuses on ensuring that they are moving forward towards their future goals, regardless if they involve being a collegiate athlete or not.  We feel blessed to have our son train with Nick and are looking forward to continuing our relationship with him into the future."

"We have had the pleasure of having Coach Gatto coach, or better stated, teach our Son the art of kicking and we could not be happier with the results. We have found Coach Gatto to not only have a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of kicking, but more importantly he understands how to communicate with the boys in a positive and uplifting manner whereby they have fun while learning how to kick at a high level. Coach Gatto firmly believes that his boys are his family and we could not be happier with Nick and his kicking family. We highly recommend Coach Gatto to any new parents just starting out, or if you’ve been in another system,  as a valuable resource to guide you through the parenting decisions you will be faced with, as your Son encounters both success and failure in the kicking world. Coach Gatto and our Dylan have a unbreakable bond and we are so grateful to have him in our lives."

"Nick has mastered the discipline, mental toughness and attention to detail it takes to be successful as a professional kicker. He provides his students the same skill set which enables them to be successful at every level.”
